Sophia Harman was a witch and member of the Harman Family. She was the daughter of Edgith Harman, the wife of Daniel Avery and mother of Thea Harman. She was also the younger sister of Selena Harman and the twin sister of Nissa Harman. Not much is known about Sophia, save for the fact she died giving birth to Thea, shortly after her twin died giving birth to her niece, Blaise. Her husband died soon after, leaving Thea to be raised by her relatives.

In the novels

Thea mentions Sophia a few times in Spellbinder. She tells Dani Abforth how her mother died giving birth to her, which is why she and Blaise are now living with Grandma Harman. She also tells Eric Ross that her parents died when she was very young and that she doesn't really remember them, after he tells her about the death of his father.
