Senaida Hearth-Woman was a prehistoric witch and an ancestor of the Harman family. The daughter of Felina Hearth-Woman and Zoar the Trapper, Senaida presumably succeeded her mother as leader of Hecate Witch-Queen's tribe. Her mate was Ward of the Gate, with whom she had at least one child, Alida Hearth-Woman.
Etymology[]
The name Senaida is a variant of the Greek name Zenaida, meaning "bright sky" or "shine". It is also possibly a variant of Zeus or means "given life by Zeus". In Ancient Greek mythology, Zeus was the god of the sky and the king of the gods. Thus, Senaida is a traditional witch name, as many Harman witches have names associated with deities or with Greek origins.
